The Stryd ecosystem is an end-to-end solution (from Planning through Reviewing) that works with running power. It provides most of the important power metrics, as well as access to coaches and training plans.

Stryd PowerCenter is a web-based app at the heart of the Stryd ecosystem. Stryd Mobile is a mobile phone app that provides much of the same information as Stryd PowerCenter, plus a few additional features.

Stryd PowerCenter and Mobile are free to use (with the Stryd footpod). Some features require membership (subscription).

Plans

The Stryd Mobile app offers free training plans for common event distances, as well as plans to build, maintain and test your fitness. Stryd membership adds a library of additional workouts. All plans and workouts are power-based.

Or choose from Stryd-certified coaches. Unfortunately, your coach cannot add workouts to your calendar.

Customisation

Stryd membership enables you to adjust training plans, create your own plans, and build your own workouts.

Download

You can download workouts from the Stryd ecosystem to Garmin, Apple, and COROS watches.

Other watch brands need to use watch companion apps or third-party apps to create and download planned workouts.

Power

Guided Workouts

Upload

Stryd PowerCenter accepts completed runs (via manufacturer websites) from all watch brands except Apple Watch.

The Stryd Workout app uploads completed runs from Apple Watches into Stryd PowerCenter.

Note that Stryd PowerCenter only accepts runs (not cycles or swims) and only accepts runs that include power metrics coming from Stryd.

Workout Review

Both PowerCenter and Stryd mobile provide second-by-second review of uploaded runs.

If you used the Stryd ecosystem to plan the workout, the apps can show actual power vs. target.

Metrics

Both apps can calculate and display your threshold power, either calculated from maximum efforts over the last 90 days of completed runs (called ‘Auto-CP’), or entered manually in the mobile app.

They can chart and display your PDC, based on maximum efforts over the last 90 days of completed runs.

They can display Stress Scores, and with membership, your Stress Balance.

Neither app provides a weekly Ramp Rate, but you can manually track this using the ’42-day average’ found in Stryd Mobile.

Neither app shows your Running Effectiveness, although you can manually calculate this using the detailed workout review pages.

Neither app offers custom metrics.

Events

Stryd PowerCenter’s Race Calculator helps determine optimal power targets based on course profile, weather, and runner data.

Stryd Mobile’s Event Planner supports goal setting and tracking process as you approach your events.

Coaching

Runners can add a coach and, once added, coaches can see completed workouts and metrics.

There is no ability to create or manage runner training plans or workouts.

And there is no ability to communicate with runners through the Stryd platform.
