Steve coached me for a half marathon brilliantly. He did a full profile of my running history and my ambitions for the race. Each week my programme built on my running and on my core strength whilst he accommodated my needs in regards to club runs, Parkruns and social commitments. We had a messenger group chat box where I could share my training session experiences and ask for advice. Steve was incredibly encouraging and was a great support to me as an older runner as well.

About from1runner2another (f1r2a)

About me

I’m a runner who started running at 50 to keep fit for squash. My squash-playing days are over, but my running is still going strong.

I’m a member of the Lonely Goat Running Club – independent from any local clubs.

from1runner2another is a Facebook group to share learning and best practices with others: sharing from1runner2another. It’s also a place to share our running journeys as we improve: developing from1runner2another.

I enjoyed sharing and learning from others so much that I decided to certify as a running coach. After a short Covid-enforced delay, from1runner2another is now a coaching business.

I firmly believe there’s a runner in all of us (no matter how old), and that anyone can start running or continue to improve while minimising injury risk and having fun.
