SuperPower Calculator (SPC) contains a comprehensive suite of calculators and converters useful to anyone training, racing, and running with power.

SPC for Google Sheets provides a complete suite of calculations while SPC for Web offers web-based versions of the most common calculations.

Estimating Threshold Power

When using SPCs, Threshold Power is referred to as FTP/CP.

SuperPower Calculator has a number of calculations you can use to estimate your Threshold Power:

  • Calculate FTP/CP and RWC (W’) from a CP test

  • Calculate FTP/CP and RWC (W’) using maximal efforts from different activities

  • Calculate FTP/CP from a Prior Race Power/Time and Riegel Exponent

  • Calculate FTP/CP from a Prior Race Power/Time and RWC

These are covered in the Four methods of FTP/CP estimation YouTube playlist.

Running Effectiveness

SuperPower Calculator can calculate a number of metrics from your workouts, using the option to Calculate Power metrics (RE,HPR,LSS/kg,CVI etc.) for up to 10 Activities.

This option is covered in the YouTube video Running Effectiveness and the SuperPower Calculator.

You can also calculate your actual Running Effectiveness after a Race/Event, so that you can use the result is input to planning your next event. This is covered in the YouTube video Calculating Actual Riegel Exponent (along with post-race calculation of your Riegel Exponent).
