Watchletic (Apple Watch)
Watchletic is the most connected Apple Watch app for runners.
Bring your planned sessions from the services you already use, collect richer live data from Bluetooth devices during the run, then export the completed workout back for analysis.

Planning
1.P – Plans. Are there power-based training plans for various event distances/experience levels? Or can you connect to a coach who can provide planned workouts?
- Watchletic does not offer training plans.
1.C – Customisation. Can you adjust training plans, create your own plans, and build your own workouts?
- Watchletic does not offer training plans.
- You can create custom workouts with target power alerts, and save those workouts for future modification or re-use.
Download
2.D – Download. Can planned workouts be downloaded for execution?
- You can use your iPhone to create custom workouts and download them to Watchletic on your Apple Watch.
- By becoming a Watchletic supporter ($), you can download workouts from many online services, including TrainingPeaks, Final Surge and Stryd.
Execution
3.P – Power. Can you choose various ways to display power while running, at a minimum: real-time power; lap power? Can you display power in Watts/kg or as a percentage or threshold power?
- Watchletic can display real-time, smoothed, lap and workout power.
- You can display power as Watts or percentage of threshold power.
- You can create custom layouts to show your choice of metrics you while running.
3.G – Guided workouts. Can the app guide you through a structured workout – a workout with multiple steps, each with their own target and duration?
- Watchletic can guide you through a structured workout with announcements and vibrations if you stray out of your target power range.
Upload
4.U – Upload. Can completed workouts be uploaded for reviewing?
- Completed workouts are uploaded to Apple Health.
- By becoming a Watchletic supporter ($), they can also be uploaded to many online services, including TrainingPeaks, Final Surge and Stryd.
Reviewing
5.W – Workout review. Can you review workout summary data and detailed (per second) workout data? Can you review workout compliance (actual vs. target)?
- Watchletic provides post-workout stats and, as a Watchletic supporter ($), advanced graphs that can be used to review target compliance using the app.
5.M – Metrics. Does the app provide power metrics, at a minimum: threshold power; training load balance; a power-duration curve? Does it also provide ramp rate or running effectiveness?
- Watchletic does not offer multi-workout metrics.
5.E – Events. Does the app offer a way to calculate power targets for upcoming events and races?
- Watchletic does not offer a Race/Event calculator.
Coaching
6.C – Coaching. Is it possible to coach athletes using the app, at a minimum: multiple athletes, reviewing results/metrics? Can you also provide planned workouts, or communicate with your athletes?
- Watchletic does not offer coaching functionality.
